RN - House Supervisor
Description
Role Purpose:
The House Supervisor coordinates activities of nursing personnel to maintain continuity for 24 hour nursing care. He/she represents administration in dealing with personnel, patients, and their families.
Responsibilities:
Visits all critical patients and rounds on all departments at least once per shift.
Adjusts staffing according to patient volume and acuity.
Acts as resource for all nursing areas (i.e. assists with high activity/acuity, provides support for breaks, etc.).
Responds to all emergency situations including circulating in STAT C-sections.
Assists in providing nursing functions in non-nursing departments.
Acts as administrative representative to patients, staff and visitors.
Demonstrates good knowledge and compliance with policies and procedures.
Coordinates patient care and services rendered by personnel from all departments.
Promotes a sense of teamwork and collaboration within the nursing departments and hospital.
Demonstrates strong management principles.
Has good ability to set priorities and optimize resources.

Qualifications:
Associates Degree or Diploma School Program
Current Missouri RN license
1-3 years RN experience
Experience in a variety of hospital specialties (i.e. Med/Surg, OB, ER, etc)
ACLS,CPI, & NRP within 1 year of hire and maintain current certification thereafter
Preferred
Qualifications:
STABLE certification
